Whether you’re preparing for your session or just curious about what happens behind the scenes, here are my Top 5 Must-Have Newborn Photography Props and how I use them to create dreamy, heart-melting images.

1. Baskets & Bowls

Why I love them: Baskets, bowls, and crates create the perfect little “nest” for your newborn. They add warmth and texture while gently supporting baby in a cozy, curled-up pose.

How I use them: I carefully line each basket with soft blankets or fluff to make it snug and safe. Babies are placed in the fetal position and swaddled for comfort. I often shoot from above to highlight the roundness and softness of the pose.

Bonus: Neutral-toned baskets fit seamlessly into any color palette and draw the eye right to baby.

2. Wraps & Swaddles
